Re: FAA Late War German Infantry

Much of my infantry both British and German is still FAA. I've never felt the need to phase them out. It's not merely nostalgia; they are better than that.

They used to originate from a couple of miles away.. a lttle further removed now...

Re: British Tank Destroyers

I like them, especially the interior turret details.

Re: 13/18 HUSSARS

It doesn't show on the photographs at all which was why I asked, Fireflies being converted in the UK were always finished in British SCC15, the same goes for Crabs, while as you say the normal 75mm Shermans would usually still be in US Olive Drab. A little more apparent in the flesh. I decided to "...

Re: A sad end..

The netting is from Antenociti's Workshop [not sure if I spelled it right] stuck on with PVA glue.

A sad end..

...for an unloved Airfix Sherman...to be ko'ed and turned into a scenic accessory. Re: 13/18 HUSSARS

Good to see the individual unit being modelled with attention to their idiosyncracies being done. What colour did you use for them ? A good point-I usually do all the British vehicles in Vallejo Russian Uniform, which generally looks ok, but I am aware that lease-lend vehicles that haven't been rep...

13/18 HUSSARS

Finished at last, after much converting/bodging and squinting at photos, they are ready to cross the Orne and help the fragile eastern flank of the bridgehead. Re: 21st Panzer Division

Thank you, interesting... the more you know, the more you don't know...

I subsequently found that dug-in 134 in "Panzers in Normandy" and assumed white. Certainly a solid colour anyway. I hadn't been aware light blue was one of the possibilities.

Re: Whose were those M10s?

I'd read it differently, but I agree the 3rd Division units would have to be pretty close to be providing direct fire support from AT guns. Longer range artillery might be more likely.
Thanks for the reference above to the M10 s being 3rd Division.
