well guys im afraid i'v failed this one,set my sights too high i think,got a handful of infantry done and two artillary(thou one union doh) none based,being a landscape gardener/gardener im at my bussiest time of the year,no excuse i know,got something in the stash iv wanted to do for along time so ...

Dettol, much cheaper and safer Don yep dettol thmbs2) thmbs2) thmbs2) Isopropryl alcohol. Even cheaper and the active ingredient in Dettol. And you don't get the sticky gel when water is added. yep forgot to say about keeping it away from water,i learned that lesson the hard way many years ago :oop...

thanks for that but it is the actual paint numbers that people use ie humbrol tamiya etc...

limber looks great may pinch this idea for my acw and indian mutiny projects

as the title says what paint do people use to do there's???never been happy with mine thanks for all feedback....

really enjoyed following this,makes me want to carry on with my own 1st airbourne project (20yrs and still not finished and never been happy how my denison turns out) other projects on the go and being a gardener im at my bussiest time of year...

just popped into home bargins wrexham for some bbq stuff and picked up 5 airfix supermarine spitfire mk1a,kit comes with glue 4 crap paints and a brush for the bargin price of £2.99 each,duno if other stores stock differnent models???

might get me to carry on with my confedrate acw army...

so 2 regiments of infantry and a battery of artillary 25mm though...

will also have to get the kids to show me how to take and post photo's im not very clued up on modern technology

was never one for posting on the old guild,lurked more in the shadows picking up tips and enjoying peoples posts will try harder here to post was wounded when the old site went down wandered through a post apocalyptic landscape for awhile then seen today on TMP that it was back a BIG thanks to you ...
