Dadlamassu's Second semester - Dwarves through the ages

Some time ago I decided on reorganising my fantasy forces only to discover that somehow I had very few dwarf soldier units. Many characters and NPCs but hardly a single unit. So I ordered a few packs of em4 plastic Dwarves. And also I wanted the units to be different. Some figures in the photos belo...

Re: Our son's Villers Bocage 3d Project Updated 14 Apr

For some reason he (Hami) cannot post here. No reason why not? ?) Although according to the logs, Hami hasn’t been active on the forum since August 2021 - 🤔 He says he has emailed the admin/team but cannot log in. I don't know what is wrong as he is far more tech savvy than me. Maybe his account ha...

Re: Militia Armoured Truck No3

Really good addition again. Truck 1 = Self propelled armoured siesta truck Truck 2 = Mobile comfort truck (bordello?) with matresses and roof mounted paddling pool/bath. Truck 3 = Armoured sauna truck These Spanish certainly know how to do war! Seriously, they look just like the real trucks cobbled ...

Love it! An armoured self propelled siesta truck. Just pull up, drop the matresses and have a siesta!

Our son's Villers Bocage 3d Project updated 14 Apr

Our son started this project way back in 2021 and has now reached the stage of 3D test prints. The buildings are scaled for 28mm figures but could, I suppose, be resized. A lot more here https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=127795.30 I am most impressed! From this https://i.imgur.com/lPL4g...

Re: Panzerjager Bren 731e

I made one of these many years ago after a mention in the "Carrier Story" in the Airfix Magazine. Not one of my best conversions but I think I was about 55 years ago. It is now part of my VolksGrenadiers http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_High_Club/WW2_Rerb_Germ/WW2_Refurb_Germ_Vplksgrenadi...

Re: Mad March - Dadlamassu's Stormoviks for Op Bagration

Thanks for the kind words. The kits went together well except that the undercarriage was fiddly as it is supposed to be retractable. But I glued it in place. The cockpit canopy parts needed work to fit. Other than that they were a relaxing couple of afternoons' work. Pure nostalgia.

Re: Mad March - Dadlamassu's Stormoviks for Op Bagration 1944

The two 1967 Airfix Stormoviks picked up on the charity shop. Not the easiest models to build but quite nice considering their age but new transfers from my spares box were required.

Restless Natives in North Western Britannia (126AD)

North Western Britannia (126AD) It is early autumn, just before harvest season, in this part of Britannia and the local tribes have been mostly peaceful for a few years. Last night a Briton came into the fort with a tale of violence, murder and destruction. The strangeness was both in the tale and i...

Mad March - Dadlamassu's Stormoviks for Op Bagration

I had nothing that fitted as recent acquisitions don't really fit the "build" criteria. Then I saw the post about visiting the charity shop. Well I did and very pleased with the purchase of two Airfix starter sets (less paints, glue and brush) Typhoon Mk1b and Messerschmitt Bf109E. Assumin...

Lledo diecast used to do an Auxilliary Fire Service. It appears on the second hand market regularly and for reasonable prices.

Re: 1/1200 Warship Plans

Back then I made almost all my 1/1200 ships from those plans. Then Aitfix brought out kits that yielded gun turrets and other parts. Also used these (first 3 are on Amazon) https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1KFd+a+5mL._SY425_.jpg https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71sFaBJMjRL._SY425_.jpg https:/...

Dadlamassu's Semester 1 starts - more added 1 Feb

Last year, on a whim, I bought the Dungeons and lasers Townfolk and Non Player Character box sets. Not because I needed them but because I wanted something different to paint. A mix of male and female figures. Possibly too few females for a "townsfolk" box and too many combattants. That sa...

Several Ausin K6 were supplied to USSR according to https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/austin_k6.php So unless otherwise proved, why not? https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/img/Austin%20K6_4.jpg https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/img/Austin%20K6_2.jpg And as Katyusha https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/img/Austin%20K-6%20M-13_5...
