Great looking table set up. I love the look of those big games and it's always a pleasure to see how each individual table fits into the big picture - assuming you have time to look around of course. Looking forward to seeing how the game plays out.

Cheers, Andy

Looks amazing. Have always wanted to do a Market Garden big game spanning the various bridges (if you excuse the pun). Look forward to the full AAR!

Thank you all for your kind comments.

The terrain and troops were a team effort by about 8 to 10 people, except the Arnhem table which is Colin Rumford's work.

These games are not possible without a very good organiser (Colin) and a team of helpers.

I have be lucky to play in a number of large games over the years and they are certainly well worth all the work.

What follows will not be a full AAR, as I was heavily involved on the Arnhem table and only looked at the other tables in the breaks.

Colin is hoping to have all the orbats published in a battlegroups style book this year, with a scenario book hopefully next year.

Alan and I are already planning replaying some of the tables at the Bristol shop, but we are busy with our Goodwood project at the moment, so it will be a couple of months.

Glad you are enjoying the pictures.

All of the tables look fantastic. I would love to see some more pictures of all of the tables, but especially the Arnhem one.

Going to take a few days to post up all the photos.

I have just been sent some more of the table set ups and one of Nijmegen that I missed.

Hopefully will sort over the coming weekend.

One of the other players has very kindly sent me a load of pictures, so I can fill in the Nijmegen gap I had.

View of the hold table.

The city was on a 2' x 2' base.

There was some very hard fighting to capture the bridge.

Great table there..... thmbs2)
Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.
