US Parass, Market Garden.
What paint do you use for the M43 "green" Para uniform in use at MG ? Acryllics only please.

Re: US Parass, Market Garden.
I've used Vallejo US Dark green Model colour VAL893 as the basic colour, lightened or darkened to suit. I've tended to use this colour for trousers and jackets, but mix it up a little with green grey for some jackets.

I use Humbrol/Tamiya enamels but the vallejo violet brown ( 70887) seems to work fine.

Seen some figures on Facebook painted by Sascha Herm using the Coat d'arms Olive green triad and they look very good.

I've not done much in M43 but used forest green craft paint when I did iirc. This I worked out as closest match to Vallejo 893.
When I do some more I'll probably choose something a bit lighter.

AK 3071 is an exact match,it is a dark colour so benefits from good highlighting,or washing over white.

thanks everyone. I have already gone with Humbrol 155 which Vallejo says is the same as their 887 and which I happened to have.

Humbrol 155 is what I use for mine.

Some years ago Tim Mercer gave me 10 of his US Paras so I had a go at them this morning. I'm not sure that I'll ever base them.

I wonder what ever happened to Tim’s foray into 20mm.
The figures were originally sculpted by Mike Broadbent who also did a range of Australians for the desert as well. Then they passed through a few sets of hands until Tim got them. I believe Brian at The Hobbyden did a few conversions to increase the range then Tim seemed to disappear off the old SoGGy page
I do my Paras in Humbrol 150, didn’t have 155 handy at the time. I use the Testors Model Master Field drab for the webbing
