Late war cammo
Re: Late war cammo
Mick Farnworth Painting Guides over on the Artizan ( I think site) he is working on a book as well. Piers over on the Battle group forum may have something on his tutorial site.

Yeah, me! Okay, sounds a bit big headed I know, but after doing the Elhiem SS I at least have an idea. I have some old Drew’s Militia figures that need repainting, when I do those I’ll do a guide soonest....mickey mouse 2 wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 1:56 pm Does any one knows a good tutorial for wwII german infantry late war cammo, and/or pea dot cammo?
Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.

Re: Late war cammo
The procedure is similar to add an image: first you need to upload the PDF to a private website or an online service as Dropbox for example. Then you have to add a download link in your forum entry.

Re: Late war cammo
Hi, I don't know how do you do the link, but the correct way - at least in MacOS - is:mickey mouse 2 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 9:25 amNot anymore, i'm afraid. You need to enter name and password now.
- If you got the Dropbox desktop application installed in your computer: Select on the PDF uploaded on Dropbox to display the options menu. Then with options menu displayed, select "Copy link on Dropbox" and publish the link copied in your entry.
- Or if you access Dropbox directly from a web browser: Select the PDF uploaded on Dropbox to display the 'Share' button. Click here and in the new modal window, select "Copy link" and publish the link copied in your entry.
The next example is done like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/11douixr5jiyy ... 5.pdf?dl=0
Good luck! Quino

All I get on my Dropbox account is that the file does not exist!
Anything further?

Hello all! I'm new here and was hoping to see the pea dot tutorial but like Kaleut I get that the file no longer exists. Is there another way to see it please?
Thanks!

Re: Late war cammo
M44 Pea is a bugger to get wright. I use a technique which has stood the test of time for 20 years. Daryl did a great tutorial, but I cannot use it as I am so used to my own now,I use the AK paint set now,the colours are just perfect.
Re: Late war cammo
The colours there are indeed spot on....

Re: Late war cammo
Horrible paints to work with though
Re: Late war cammo
I seemed to do okay, I followed Daryl’s advice and used them on a pallet thinned down with water to a just less than milky thickness and it worked fine.
What problems did you encounter?

Re: Late war cammo
Just not what I'm used to, consistency and coverage-wise I guess. I'm a pretty dyed in the wool Vallejo user, and it just seemed harder work to use.
