RF3? New RF Arnhem book?

Post by mausmann »

Any news please from the RF “in the know” guys? ;)

Also have heard rumblings about a new Arnhem book too possibly before then?

Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.

As I keep saying RF3 is not imminent     I have only had one very brief outline version back last year and there is no current email traffic on the subject.

All the current email traffic is on the 'Market Garden weekend' to be held in Yorkshire over the last weekend in April.
The game is being arranged and run by Colin Rumford.

There are table layouts and ORBATs in the new 'Normandy Battlegroups/games' style.

At the moment there is a big push to get all the terrain done. Many of the bridges are being made for the first time. I have seen some pictures and you won't be disappointed.

I believe this will lead to a new version of the Arnhem book in the new style, but before you ask I have no idea when this will be.

I believe Richard Marsh is working on another Desert battle to be produced in the PDF style and will be this year.

Cheers Don, many thanx as always for the info, and for enduring my incessant babbling.... :D

It was interesting to hear the news on the new basing regimen. It’s optional too so if not your bag then play as you did before.
However, not even a speck on the horizon yet..... ;)

My own personal wish would be for a new Russian Front book, but that does not seem likely.

Arnhem however does sound nearer. There’s nothing like a Big Game to get everything moving, and a new Arnhem book in the new Battlegames/Battlegroups style would I am sure would be well received.

Really looking forward to seeing the pics of the game.

I understand that Richard Marsh is off to Russia at some stage, so you never know.

Tease...... :) Joking apart I really hope he does one. A major part of WW2 that RF could easily revisit to great effect......... ;)
