DICE rules

Toying with a idea of Dice with the results actually on the dice, no charts, no numbers, no minus just dice with results written on the dice.

I want to put together a simple set of gladiator, or one on one hand to hand fighting rules with two or three dice from D12, D10, D8 and D6, with the results on the dice down or upgrading depending upon result, one for hits, one for morale, one for bravery etc....more of a beer and pretzels game.

Anybody played anything like this?
