Now look what you've made me do Rob - an order has been placed and despatched from Hannants on same day.

Well - with the ACE Sdkfz6/2 completed - I returned to painting, spending way too much time on finishing of the stowage on the Opel Blitz Command Bus, and adding bits to the captured French radio truck that I've been painting purely for the fun of it all... (honest!) I also picked back up the ACE Sdkfz10/4's that I had and finally tidied up those horrific weathered insides...

Artillery crews are fast approaching completion as far as the converting is concerned - Imagine my annoyance when discovering that I needed four crew per gun and not the three I'd allocated for the two 105mm's - so I need to find some "busy" figures who look as tho they'd fit in as I can't be arsed to convert more!

I've also been playing with new colours for tarpaulins - in the past I'd always have used either field grey of a darker grey, but for a late war softskin, the colour of the tarpaulin really should be a tan/yellow/canvas colour... my interpretation of this is clearly too dark - but I kinda like it
(vallejo canvas if anyone is interested)

Lovely work,

I regulary use khaki green or faded version of that, the image is much more lighter.

Cheers

The project that keeps on giving. The Wotan fix is always a source of inspiration, both in terms of artistry and sheer commitment! Keep up the good work! thmbs2)
High on life. And thinners.

Mainly thinners.

Yeah - I probably wasn’t brave enough and could’ve/ should’ve gone lighter… but I kinda like it. Might try another tone later once I’ve figured this out? ?)

Or madness and foolish obsession :ugeek: but thank you!
It’s probably never going to be finished, but I’m having fun still… and that’s all that matters!

I like it, I similarly use field greyish colours for the tarps.
