Is it me… or does the panzerjager in the background at 4.35 also have a white star? (Or is it the camouflage pattern?)

I have to say that the whole film was spoilt for me by the inclusion of that train load of Zwischenlösung right at the end, almost as if he'd stopped paying attention and just wanted to fill out a few seconds.

The same little sequence appears at 20 minutes on this film but it is much more clear, the 251 shows u really well. Earlier there is film of Calliope on ground mounts which surprised me but then what I know about the Yanks could fit on a pin head.

I saw a photo in a French book today (Le Chars in Allemande- or something like that) of a 251/9 (with the short 75mm) painted in Allied stars.

The book is Chars en Allemagne and here is a link. My excuse is I only had 3 French lessons at school.

More examples! I had a look through Steven Zaloga’s Armored Attack 1944 and Armored Victory 1945 and found this.
The 733rd FA Battalion were issued with and used captured 88mm Pak43 towed by a Sdkfz 251D.
The 1st Company of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne captured and used two Sdkfz 251/9s.
I’m very impressed with those two books. Highly recommended.
