Basing a boat on a river, bright blue won't cut it, so wot's a good Vallejo grey/green colour to represent the water, please?

I prefer brown myself!
I use a ink to colour my resin then washes before the final layer

Clear overhead projection film with added water detail with Liquatex Gel medium. Allows whatever colour the river is painted to come through.

Does it specifically have to be Vallejo paints? I find a brown base coat, with the Tamiya translucent paints (blue, green, red and yellow) layered up in whatever combination to taste, topped with a couple of coats of gloss varnish makes for a very convincing river tone. See my River Rescue thread a few topics below this one for the results.
